Organisational preparations for the 26th edition of the Aalsmeer Trade Fair are in full swing
July 16, 2026
Europe’s largest floriculture trade fair, Trade Fair Aalsmeer (TFA), is coming up again. From Tuesday 3 to Thursday 5 November, Royal FloraHolland will open its doors for the 26th time in Aalsmeer to welcome exhibitors and a national and international trade audience from the floriculture sector.
Over 600 exhibitors
Britt Bakhuizen (Event Manager and Project Leader of the TFA): “Once again this year, we have been surprised by the enthusiasm of exhibitors to take part in the trade fair. We were fully booked even before the closing date at the end of May. Over 600 exhibitors have registered to take part in the Trade Fair Aalsmeer. And so, in 2026, the exhibition floor will once again cover no less than 30,000 m². Once again, a wide range of flowers, plants and value-added products will be on display on the exhibition floor. For me, this is the sixth time I have been involved in organising the TFA. This year, I am taking on the role of Project Manager. I am always surprised to see, when I walk around the exhibition floor the evening before the first day of the fair and everything is ready, just how much work the exhibitors have put into setting up and decorating their stands. With such passion.”
Logistical challenges of the trade fair
Britt explains further: “Together with the entire events team and Royal FloraHolland’s logistics department, we’ve been working behind the scenes on preparations since the start of this year. Because the Trade Fair Aalsmeer doesn’t take place in an events venue, but in Royal FloraHolland’s operational auction halls in Aalsmeer, there’s a lot involved in making these halls functional and attractive for such an international trade fair. There are a huge number of details to sort out (such as coordinating the lighting, every power point, water supply and waste disposal), as well as the layout of our own Royal FloraHolland stand and VIP Lounge. This summer we’ll be fully occupied with this, as well as with attracting visitors. After all, we aim to match last year’s figures (over 20,000 visitors, 25 per cent of whom were from abroad) again this year. I’m already looking forward to experiencing those three impressive days of the trade fair in early November once more”.
Over the coming period, we’ll be busy putting together an interesting programme. Keep an eye on our website for the latest news.
