On the second day of the Trade Fair, some 40 students from Inholland Delft's Horticulture & Agribusiness study visited the fair. They first made several assignments in groups for their studies. To conclude, there was a presentation on Royal FloraHolland's sustainability strategy: Growing Greener Together.

Bart Janse, sustainability project manager at Royal FloraHolland gave them a presentation on the sustainability strategy using a lego structure. This structure can be seen at the Royal FloraHolland stand and embodies the three pillars of the sustainability strategy: reliable and transparent floriculture marketplace, liveable planet and inspired and vital people. What did the students themselves hope to get out of the visit? 'I hope to gain more knowledge about trade. I also want to know more about sustainability and innovation of the floriculture sector. What I heard today corresponds to the material I get during class' said one of the students.

The visit is a great way to introduce students to floriculture and enthuse them about the opportunities within this sector.
