Greenovation Award 2024
The judges praised the Silphie plant, also known as The Sun Crown, as a promising alternative crop for arable farming. ‘The Silphie plant has a very high added value in terms of soil improvement and biodiversity,’ the jury comments. Decowraps Europe's paper packaging is partly made from the fibres of this plant, which reduces the need for trees. This sustainable paper protects ornamental plants and contributes to biodiversity and soil quality. A great step towards a circular floriculture sector.
